Can the police department
install my child safety seat? The Verona Police Department has several officers who are
trained to install child safety seats. Please call our detective bureau at (973) 847-4820 to make an
appointment.
Seats are also installed at the Essex/Morris Child Safety Seat Inspection Station every Wednesday (excluding
holidays) from 9am until 4pm. Please arrive before 3:30pm.

need fingerprinting for my job. What should I do? The detective bureau performs fingerprinting in limited
instances. Requirements are that you live in Verona and provide the necessary fingerprint cards.
All other fingerprinting is performed by the state approved vendor Sagem Morpho, Inc.

Can I leave my car on the street overnight?
Parking of vehicles on the roadway between
2:30am and 6:00am is prohibited under Township ordinance.
Exceptions are made on a case by case basis due to construction, disabled vehicles and temporary overnight
guests when there is not enough room in the driveway. Please contact the police desk prior to 1:00am to request
permission.
